Arson Simulator was developed in our Intermediate Game Design class with my partner, Shannon Kilbride.
I designed the puzzles for first half of the levels from the game. I also designed and implemented the kindling, explosives, and unplaceable zone mechanics. I also implemented the point accumulation and level switching systems.
Arson simulator is a 2D puzzle game where you have to strategically place kindling and explosives to bring down buildings and help your local community prosper. All the building are made from wood and concrete and the different types of wood burn differently, the concrete doesn't burn at all, and not every part of every building is accessible so the player has to think carefully about where they place their limited supplies.
